Hello fellow City of Manassas Patriots. Welcome to the fifth monthly issue of a series of new newsletters designed to keep City of Manassas Republicans informed about our activities, accomplishments, and, most importantly, where we need your help and participation.


AUGUST 12 MEETING RECAP

  • It’s a pleasure to note we had 40 attendees at this meeting.

  • An early part of this fifth meeting of the new term involved a brief review of our recent activities. The review featured:    

    • A report on the resurrection of the Legislative District Committee (LDC) for Virginia House of Delegates - District 20 (HD-20) and the subsequent HD-20 Legislative District Party Canvass held at the Manassas GOP HQ on August 8. Nate Fritzen was recognized as the canvass winner and our new party nominee for the HD-20 Special Election on November 3.

    • A summary of the Community Event Series I and II with Theresa Coates Ellis.

    • A summary of the 10th Congressional District “Celebrate America 250” event w/ Former Governor Youngkin.

  • THANK YOU to all those who volunteered at the HD-20 Legislative District Canvass including Una Geary, Ben Walters, Wes Williams and his girlfriend Kenzie, Merianne Jensen, and especially those who served as the LDC Credentials Committee – Jacob Alderman, Rick Bookwalter, Harry Clark, Edie Lewis and Robyn Williams.

  • THANK YOU Zach Murphy for putting together the “Mix and Mingle” social after the HD-20 Canvass.

  • Republican HQ Committee Chairman Williams summarized the extensive clean-up conducted at HQ for the canvass.

  • Communications and Social Media Committee Chairman Walters summarized updates to our website.

  • October 14 – City of Manassas Republican Committee Meeting, at Old Towne Sports Pub, Social at 6 PM, Business Meeting at 7 PM

  • October 18 – Sunday early voting hours 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

  • October 24 – Saturday early voting hours 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

  • October 25 – Sunday early voting hours 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
