Under Mayor Michelle Davis-Younger and the Democrat-run City Council, Safety Concerns in Manassas are Mounting
Violent crime, homelessness, trespassing, burglary, and panhandling have become the new normal under Michelle Davis-Younger’s tenure. Business owners and property owners reported that these issues are relatively new, escalating since 2019. Homeowners report a rise in neglected properties, unmaintained sidewalks, and overgrown yards leaving our neighborhoods in a state of disrepair and sparking safety concerns. Manassas has also been without a permanent Police Chief for over a year. Our city's top notch career civil servants deserve accountability and leadership from the next Mayor.
