Christopher Stone (R-Manassas) brings a unique combination of national security expertise, economic leadership, and public service that makes him an ideal candidate for the District 20 seat in the Virginia House of Delegates. With a strong background as a Vice President in the private sector, Stone has worked directly on strengthening America’s industrial base, attracting business investment, and advising senior leaders on economic development and strategic growth. As Executive Director of the Ozark Area Chamber of Commerce, he spearheaded initiatives to support local businesses and expand job opportunities, while also serving on economic advisory boards to grow regional prosperity. His deep understanding of Virginia’s economic and defense sectors positions him to craft policies that empower families and businesses across the Commonwealth.
Stone is a 20.5 year retired Air Force officer and Global War on Terror veteran who's served in senior advisory roles at the Pentagon, National Guard Bureau, and Air Force. His assignments included critical space, homeland security and emergency management strategy positions, where he led efforts to safeguard U.S. critical infrastructure. As Special Assistant in the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Stone shaped major defense policies and engaged with key international partners. His military service, coupled with high-level strategic planning, makes him a strong advocate for veterans, first responders, and a safe, secure Virginia.
His tenure as a U.S. Senate staff member and as a Presidential appointee further reflects his deep commitment to public service. Stone advised Senators Kit Bond and Jim Talent on national and constituent issues and later served as a senior fellow and policy commentator formulating national policy and engaging with Congress, industry, and international allies. As a former professor and frequent policy commentator, he combines academic insight with real-world experience. Stone’s unmatched record in public safety, economics, and government service equips him to lead with integrity, vision, and strength in Richmond.
